Bluish hue is suggestive of minimal change from inhalation to exhalation with lower function compared with reddish hue with better functioning area. His forced vital capacity was 3.91 L at baseline and 3.65 L at 6 months. The diffusion capacity was 19.8 mL/min/mm Hg at baseline and 18.49 mL/min/mm Hg at 6 months. Thin-section CT images show no change in a usual interstitial pneumonia pattern of fibrosis between baseline and 6 months. QLF images show diminished ventilation in the regions of fibrosis (arrowhead) with preserved mid and upper lung zone ventilation. PBM images show lower perfusion changes in the regions of fibrosis which progress at 6 months (arrows) despite lack of thin-section CT or QLF changes. The PBM scores for right lung are 0.195 kg and 0.136 kg at 0 and 6 months, respectively.
